Barack could have just kept pressing on and eventually this smear campaign would have gone away.

Instead, he caved, just like he'll probably cave on us - the people who supported him - with health care reform. More compromise, when we have control of both houses. Barack is now acting just like any other Washington politician I've ever seen. Un-fucking believable.

Now every fucking adviser is going to come under unwarranted scrutiny and could be flushed by Barack, just like Van did. HUGE tactical error!
