Van is far too good a man to be involved in White House crap, for the WH is corrupt to the core, and Mr Jones is an honest man. Rahm will be dancing now that they got rid of that freaky liberal, whose ethics are not a thing to be 'waived'.
I was thrilled to see Van get the gig, but frankly he is wasted there, co-opted by this right wing administration to serve as window dressing to make them seem 'moderate' or 'centrist' or anything but Conservative, which is what they are.
Van is not a bigot, so all that anti-minority crap around the Faith Based shit must have made him feel creepy.
He's well out of there.
