32. It never pays to underestimate your rivals
China is a world power. The nation's leaders have worked hard to make China a leading world power. We still have the most powerful (and widely based) military forces in the world, but there is a new method of power exchange emerging, and it is not military based.

Perhaps privatization, the neocon's tool for reinventing the world economy, is the single most devastating weapon we have handed the new generation of world powers. We did this with our eyes closed, when they should have been open, but we did this to ourselves. :(
