4. I don't see how they can possible reverse their earlier ruling...
... and keep any kind of credibility at all. I think at the hearing a couple of months ago, the justices were hoping someone, anyone, would give them some kind of good reason that would allow them a credible reversal of some kind, but they just didn't get it.

The guy that Jerry Brown sent to argue the anti-Prop 8 point of view was practically worthless, but I just can't seem them going back on what they said in In Re: Marriages, constitutional amendment or not, especially in light of what has taken place in other states in the interim.

Given the budget mess here in CA, we already look like The State That Doesn't Know How. If the justices want to contribute to that point of view tomorrow morning, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
