31. subpoena their asses. our democracy is at stake
who the hell are they to think they don't have to account to the American people???

I don't give a fuck if they did steal the election, they are in office now and we have, supposedly, a system of checks and balances to stop an imperial presidency.

so get some balls and ovaries, 9-11 commission members, and tell these fricking fascist pricks that they cannot get away with their Reichstag fire...

and if it wasn't a Reichstage fire scenario, then why are they afraid to tell the truth?

From Michael Ledeen's Machiavelli and Modern Leadership:

"In order to achieve the most noble accomplishments, the leader may have to 'enter into evil,' This is the chilling insight that has made Machiavelli so feared, admired, and challenging. It is why we are drawn to him still..."

"Just as the quest for peace at any price invites war and, worse than war, defeat and domination, so good acts sometimes advance the triumph of evil, as there as circumstances when only doing evil ensures the victory of a good cause."

Reporter William O. Beeman for The Pacific News Service:

"Ledeen's ideas are repeated daily by such figures as Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfield and Paul Wolfowitz...He basically believes that violence in the service of the "spread of democracy" (quote marks mine) is America's manifest destiny. Consequently, he has become the philosopher legitimator of the American occupation of Iraq" (and what else, I wonder?)

Ledeen, btw, met with Ghorbanifar, one of the Iran/Contra slugs, before the invasion of Iraq.

He was also involved in the guns for drugs years of Bush I, and is a fellow of The American Enterprise Institute.

He is considered the philosopher of the Project for a New American Century (and we all know how they fretted that they needed a "new Pearl Harbor" to instigate their plans to create an imperial, rather than democratic America.
