flashing handwritten messages to the P3 got to close and crashed into the radome of the Orion. Excellent piloting skills by the navy captain is what kept the machine aloft long enough to bring his damaged plane down safely as opposed to a mid air disaster where dead men tell no tales.

Chinese pilot died.

And what a moron he was. In the meantime, China was brought up to speed on the Cold War protocol play book carried out between US/Soviet intercepts.
