25 years ago my son could not tolerate formula. I had a very old school pediatrician who prescribed 1 can of "Pet" brand evaporated milk and sterile water to make 32 oz. Add 1 tablespoon of light Karo syrup. He soon became a little butterball. After a while a few drops of Poly-Vi-Sol was added. He did extremely well on it. It sure saved us a bunch of money too.
