Sounds mighty thin even to me (and I feel Cheney is pretty much the definition of an evil human being), so it's doubtful any local judge would do the necessary signing off to take the case to trial. I don't even think that team would have to strongarm anyone to get off. Of course, if they have to, they will.

This will likely be over by the end of today (Wednesday).

On edit: The papers that have pictures of the two of them in the courtroom show them both chuckling and clearly taking the proceedings as great entertainment. Shows, more than anything I've read about either of them (and that's plenty), what's wrong with those two.
