He was the worst liar in Washington and clearly uncomfortable with his job in the Bush administration. His face would get red, he'd stammer and sweat, he'd break eye contact.. it was like watching a toddler with cookie crumbs all over his clothes. He also had the misfortune of coming after that masterful bastard Ari Fleischer, who is one of Washington's most gifted liars.

I'll never forget the press conference where McClellan resigned. Bush had a look on his face like an eager hog, he was relishing every moment of Scottie's acute discomfort. From that moment onward, I knew this endorsement was coming.
