It wasn't "Andy Kaufman's" Mighty Mouse. I distinctly remember, from my childhood, that Mighty Mouse was singing "Here I come to save the day" in operatic style while Kaufman himself was still a child. All Kaufman did was perform a sketch in which he lip-synched to a recording from the show.

Barney Frank was born several years before Kaufman or me. Frank was already 15 years old when Mighty Mouse cartoons began running on television, so I guess he wasn't really aware of the original and knew only Kaufman's take-off.

OK, cartoon analysis is over, you may now return to the total collapse of your financial system.
