99. Here in Southern Illinois we have the best of both worlds.

:sarcasm: Freezing in the winter and burning in the summer. When the ending of the rate freeze hit us in the mid-winter, our heat bills either doubled or tripled. There was an outcry and the government quickly took steps to change the matter. Prices were brought down somewhat, but we still had to pay those super high bills already received. I live in a small house and our bills are outragious some of the time. What I don't get is that when the weather is colder or hotter than usual, the power companies get to charge us more money for the energy per unit they supply us. Don't try to explain it to me, I know why they say they can, I just don't get why they should be able to do this for any reason.

edited because we had a rate freeze that ended and that is different than regulations and the ending of that.
