16. Until about 3 mos ago, and only because of price, the Maricopa County Democratic Nucleus Club, the
fund raising arm of the Maricopa County democrats, had its monthly luncheon at the Phoenix Country Club. All the presidential candidates and most democrats of note spoke there. AG Terry Goddard spoke there many times. Janet Napolitano and Dennis Burke were both on the Board of Nucleus and met for those meetings. Janet was chair when she was AG( I think may have been Fed atty then) ) Our Governor spoke there on multiple occasions. I was a member for several years. I guess it proves the Dems really didn't care about sexism, or it wasn't an issue. I did not know about the policy at all. I would not have joined had I known. Nucleus is now based at the Arizona Country Club. I wonder what their policy is?
