... you stated that Apple products are obsolete in a few months. Which is *far* different than companies improving products.

Cell phones and iPod-like products are still in the early cycle of product innovation and development, similar to personal computers ten years ago, refrigerators 50 years ago and cars 70 years ago. Products and industries evolve. Should companies take a product to market and then just stop trying to improve it?

My three-year-old iPod - which I bought used from someone who *chose* to buy a newer version - still works quite well in daily use. Not obsolete in any way. Three-year-old technology, yes, but that is what I expect of a product built three years ago (then again, it may be four years old).
