49. I disagree. Technology is always going to improve. You can't and don't want to stop that.
Nonetheless, I've been using apple products for years, and I've always been able to stretch the useful life of a product much much longer than I see people stretch the useful life of their computers. I usually use an apple product until I break it. The only apple product I stopped using that still worked perfectly fine was a G3(?) that I used from '96 or '97 until 2006.
