"One thing they point to is the timeframe and expense that surrounded the impeachment proceedings against President Clinton, citing how the business of politics in the U.S. ground to a near standstill as the nation's attention was diverted by the effort to expose the President over a sex act with a White House intern."

1) this isn't a sex act with an intern...these are major violations of our constitutional system, and they need to be rectified and accountable.

2) It's not like Congress is doing much these days anyway...bush keeps vetoing everything that substantially would be good for the people of the United States and often he doesn't have to, because Democrats just roll over and play dead.

Going forward with impeachment would actually be a positive action in a whole laundry list of inaction and spineless submission.
