4. Turkey is a friend too, remember they are in NATO
look at their military hardware, almost all of it is US manufactured. The turks have shown a lot of restraint in dealing with the pkk and their population has had enough and has been calling for action. This was entirely predictable as the US didn't want to destabilize the one relatively peaceful area of Iraq by dealing with the problems.
