116. It's better than that! They fly the Five Nations flag.
In June, Paul Watson received the flag of the Five Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy in a ceremony that would make all the hair on your body stand straight up.

The Canadian government arbitrarily changed the Sea Shepherd's ship classification from pleasure to business while they were out at sea. When they pulled into port and make to show their registration papers, they were charged -- yes, charged -- with having false papers.
(Watson demanded to know exactly when he was supposed to have gotten the "correct" papers.)
So our toady government told him he could no longer fly the maple leaf.

The Five Nations people heard about this. They invited Captain Watson to the reserve, which is, take note, inland. They presented him with a ribbon shirt and the Flag of the Five Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy.

The Sea Shepherd is the only ship on the planet to fly this flag.

Too cool.
