Exactly right: it's just another a marketing gimmick.

I mean, it's not like you ever see a fat kid (or adult) wearing Nikes
anywhere is it? Once you put "them" on, you lose all the padding and
become a lean, mean & c-o-o-l dude ... not to mention being significantly
poorer and wearing a label saying "Gullible bastard" ...
