don't spew hate like the religious right. It's a fact--most liberals/progressives are far, far more compassionate than a single repuke. Conservatives, as the article shows, are the world's leading hypocrites, because they want to police everyone else except themselves.

And while some of us do have enormous animosity toward the idiots on the right, we care a lot more about the people in this world, and want to make sure everyone is taken care of. The religious right just goes on and on about everyone else, but can't and won't do what they ask of all these others. "Do as I say, not as I do" is definitely one of the mantras of the religious right.

I'm sure there are some non-compassionate liberals out there like everywhere else, but the percentage is probably .05% of the population, not like the 85-90% of conservatives and the whole religious right.

On edit: I was adopted myself and understand the system better than anyone who was never in such "proceedings." Back when I was adopted, abortion was illegal and my biological mother was essentially a whore. She had like 8 kids who she either sold or put up for adoption. I know of NO ONE who would condone that kind of lifestyle, and think that she should have been made more aware of the need for population control. But even that sort of information and support was not available for the most part.
