Jack Bauer will surely drive the 25-40 minutes from CTU to the bridge in about the time it takes for a station break. He will then interrogate a suspect who will yield crucial data after less than 5 seconds of "encouragement" at which point the "Tac-Team" which happens to be in the air will land within seconds and thwart the plot.
But one of the CTU agents will talk on a separate, private cell phone to one of the plotters and give them info which will allow them to escape with one of the {bombs|vials of virus|circuit boards} in a cigarette boat which the tac team helicopter will somehow not be able to stop.
In pursuing the cigarette boat, Jack will be captured by the {chinese|russian ultranationalists|middle eastern} agents and taken abroad for extended torture and interrogation, but will show up in hour 1 of the show next year.
