10. Greenspan knew when to retire ...
Somewhere within this site are threads and graphs that show the difference between the Fed's decisions on money supply during deficit expanding Republican administrations, and more fiscally responsible Democratic budgets. Greenspan throughout his tenure aided and abetted the instability of the republican debt driven economic model of today.

Following the large recessions of Nixon, Reagan/Bush l, will be the hell to pay recession of the Bush ll administration. A recession that if and when it ends will have the purchasing power of the dollar, halved since 2000. The strong dollar has become extinct under Greenspan's tenure, and with the present, account. trade, and household deficits, the thought of fiscal responsibility a passing dream. Will the printing press soon be an illustrated symptom of the paraphrased axiom; all fiat currencies will eventually return to their intrinsic values, that of paper. Time will tell, and if you are religious, it is time to pray.
