103. When the senate balance is close, Dem senators face peril
The last time the senate balance of power was so razors-edge close, someone sent Daschel some Anthrax. Recall that media personell recieved anthrax too, but that was weaker stuff. The finely-milled killer Thrax that was potent enough to kill mail postal workers in its wake, was sent to Daschell only.
The next time it looked like the dems might regain the senate, Senator Wellstone's plane went down in a mysterious accident.
