51. Just because they say it doesn't make it true.
"..the president’s approval rating has fallen to a new all-time low for the Newsweek poll: 33 percent, down from an already anemic 36 percent in August. Only 25 percent of Americans are satisfied with the direction of the country, while 67 percent say they are not.."

The talking points are not working. Everyone is talking about the Foley scandal, despite the belief by some Minnesota GOP officials who say Minnesotans "are more interested in baseball".

Just because they say it doesn't make it true.

Republicans are more interested in staying in power and winning elections than common sense, and the reason why is they mere political tools of many many special interests who are making a FORTUNE with taxpayer dollars. Even worse, these special interests and their wheeling/dealings have little or no accountability. Proof of whom one of these special interests are can be seen by the low gas prices here in October. Obviously oil executives want GOP Congressmen and Senators stay in power. The industry is "doing their part" to keep them there.

More proof that all Republicans really care about is their power is the lack of oversight regarding Iraq War defense contractors. There is a reported 9 billion dollars missing, and hardly a whisper about that from the Republican leadership.

Do only the Democrats care that there's 9 billion dollars MISSING in Iraq?

That is exactly what the Foley scandal exposes; obvious problems are not addressed by Republican leadership because Republicans want to stay in power.

Republicans have failed our Nation.
