they needed a new photo-op.
It was a very adroit political move, though. I'm sure it'll play very well with the cable news and Sunday talk shows.
I can't imagine these sorts of stunts will buoy his numbers once he restarts the draft, of course- but then again, that'll be after the election anyway.
