These people often vote based on a handful of issues, never really looking at the bigger picture. Is the candidate "pro-life" (which in this case really only means anti-choice)? Pro-school prayer? Pro-gun? Anti-"sodomite"? Anti-Clinton? Anti-minority rights?

Then by golly, s/he is OUR candidate. S/he is one of us! Wink, nudge. You KNOW what I mean by that. Wink, wink.

But while there are unfortunately far more people like this in the South, you can find this mentality all over the country. All over the world for that matter.

If I didn't know that it would be used to discriminate, I think I would be in favor of some sort of intelligence/awareness test for voters. Can't name the candidates or who your elected officials are currently? Sorry- can't vote. (not serious about this- save the flames)
