31. The noun "statesman" was coined for people like Lloyd Bentsen
I met then-Treasury Secretary Bentsen in late 1993. A gentleman, a true public servant and a dyed-in-the-wool, true-blue, loyal Texan. They don't make 'em like him anymore.

My deepest condolences to the entire Bentsen family.
