On this thread I sorta feel like the voice crying out in the wilderness. I responded to your unnecessarily pejorative, mean-spirited comments, but you are one, of apparently many, inconsiderate calumniators weighing in here slamming Ms Smith. To name-call is an easy and thoughtless reaction to an unusual, complicated situation.

I would hope that with a bit more thinking, of the original, non-lemming variety, you and those others who have made nasty comments about this plaintiff will find it their ("bleeding heart liberal") brains and hearts to get off the hate band wagon. It is a mob mentality and it is not very pretty. It sucks IMHO!

Save yourselves from the cesspool of conventional wisdom! Please consider not reacting mindlessly, but attempt to rationally consider radical, fundamentally different responses to this type of story.

I am an Atheist myself, but I am sure that with more love and respect for EVERYONE, and some critical thinking, the tenor and pertinence of this thread will substantially improve.

Try it! Not just when you are considering these frivolous issues, but in every area, arena and aspect of your existence. Don't be a another sheep, especially in this forum, where your comments are read by others. Set an example of tolerance and respect for newbies (like me!) to study, learn from, and emulate.
