18. Do you see self defense as murder?
Do you think the Iraqis were wrong in taking up arms against us? They have killed a lot of our soldiers, many who sincerely believe what bush has told them. I suspect many are having serious doubts, but cannot allow themselves to even harbor doubts about the rightness of what they are doing. Many know now that the war was a lie, but feel a bond with their fellow soldiers and are fighting to stay alive and to keep their friends alive. they are no longer fighting for country, they are fighting for their brothers and sisters so they can all go home alive and well. Mutiny is possible, but it takes coordination, something difficult to do in a controlled military environment.

the murderers are the ones who lied to them and then sent them to kill. It isn't just the president, it is his advisors and the oil companies who pushed for this illegal war. They are no better than the afore mentioned "doctor."

The Iraqis saw yet another world power invading their homeland to steal their oil. Does it make them murderers for defending their country? Yes, the doctor was so wrong by killing the injured men and women under his care. His act was not an act of self defense it was sick.

they say that people below their mid twenties do not have the ability to see the future consequences of their actions (their mortality). That makes them well suited to being soldiers. They have the strength of youth, the strong tribal ties (peer pressure), and no real fear of death. The Army of One ad campaign really plays into that immature thinking. Hopefully these young soldiers will see the light someday.
