It's said that this one at Pecan Valley Golf Course in San Antonio likely heard the wagons and horses of Santa Ana after he left the Alamo headed for San Jacinto.
 Here's the sign next to the tree describing the history of this area:  Fortunately the tree doesn't come into play on this course! And the tree trunk without a crown in the background to the left of the big tree was hit by lightening several years ago. That was a good thing on that hole! |
