50. Minneapolis
is alsoin the running to host the GOP convention. Would be an interesting choice if they are wanting to try and the convention to tilt the state into the red.

The RNC cities that have been asked to bid are:

Anaheim, Calif.; Atlanta; Boston; Charlotte, N.C.; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; Dallas; Denver; Detroit; Houston; Indianapolis; Los Angeles; Kansas City, Mo.; Memphis, Tenn.; Miami; Minneapolis; Nashville, Tenn.; New Orleans; New York; Orlando, Fla.; Philadelphia; Phoenix; Pittsburgh; Portland, Ore.; Sacramento, Calif.; San Antonio; San Diego; San Francisco; Seattle; St. Louis, Mo.; and Tampa.

But no word as to how many have actually said they were interested. I do know that Atlanta and Chicago have both declined the opportunity to host the their convention.
