It's not just the political censorship. Not even the corporate domination of culture. It's the fact that the so-called "liberal" commercial broadcast media can't even allow anything remotely controversial or provocative. This doesn't seem a slap in the face to Democrats as much as to any creative artist who had any hopes of freedom of expression in show business. In the long run, this will hurt CBS and the whole of the entertainment industry more than a few angry emails incited by the Drudge Report. From now on any artist at CBS with any talent and integrity would have to sacrifice one or the other.
