Granted, the example of the death penalty was obtuse. It was a quick and easy illustration of something that some people in other parts of the world view as "immoral," "barbaric" or any other word that comes to your mind when expressing your indignation, regarding another culture's habits, laws, etc. In this case, China's long standing tradition of eating cats and dogs.

One world. Many cultures. Your judgments? Whatever.
