56. Actually, the operations against Cuba were started by the....
...Eisenhower Administration with VP Nixon being one of the planners of the Bay of Pigs. Nixon was very closely tied to all of the anti-Castro Cuban CIA operations until JFK took office in January 1961.

Following the failure of the Bay of Pigs invasion, JFK fired Dulles and two other high-ranked CIA executives, and later appointed his brother, RFK, to oversee some of the operations of the Cuban Task Force.

Many JFK researchers believe that the answers to JFK's assassination can be found within the anti-Castro operatons which included such notables as E. Howard Hunt.

Interestingly enough, Poppy Bush, as a member of the CIA, was also involved in CIA operations in the Western Hemisphere, most notably in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. In fact, two of the landing craft used by the Bay of Pigs operation were named "Houston" and "Barbara". A photo has recently surfaced within the last few years purporting to show Poppy Bush in Dallas on November 22, 1963, even though he can't remember where he was that day. Babs stated in recent years that they were both in Dallas that day.

Nixon flew out of Dallas at about 12:30 pm on the 22nd, after a four day stay in Dallas. He initially denied that he had been in Dallas, but had to admit he was there the fourth time he was asked when presented with the evidence of his travel itinerary.
