19. That's my read too, and I think it is a bad move for the DNC
for several reasons.

First no one really knows what is going on in the GJ.


Second, they place the credibility of the entire Democratic Party in jeopardy. What if Fitz' does nothing? Including providing no report of his activity?

Third, this gives the R's opportunity to claim the entire investigation is overzealousness supported by partisan voices in the community.

Fourth, because it falls back on the DNC it makes it look like anti-war Dean is pushing the anti-war agenda.
