14. Cannot ignore Olson.
Rehnquist and O'Connor resign.

CuckooBananas promotes either Scalia or Thomas to Chief. If he really wants to screw things up (which I believe he does) it will be Thomas. This nomination will be approved no matter what happens as Thomas cannot successfully be portrayed as unqualified by Dems.

This leaves two Associate nominees. One of them will most certainly be Ted Olson who has been groomed for this position for some number of years. With two retirements CuckooBananas may even put up Olson directly for Chief, but I think it will more likely be Scalia or Thomas for that post.

Just as wacko Thomas was Poppy's "screw you" to the black community. CuckooBananas will put up a "screw you women" candidate to replace O'Connor. Remember, these people think ideologically, not rationally.

We're going to see three nominees here. All will be very ideological, and very right wing. If they get approved, which is very likely, we're going to be fucked for a long time.
