The Bushies are greedheads who dabble in religion for monetary gain. They do this here and abroad. Bolstered by never having been opposed in their insular, selfish lives, they actually think they can smash into other cultures and do as they please.

It's not that easy.

Smart people know how dumb they are.

Although there are smart people among the cabal of monarchists running this country (Cheney, Rumsfeld) most of them ARE second rate or worse. Saudi Arabia is a powderkeg. This is part of the reason we attacked Iraq. What's shocking is that the uber-masculine brutes don't even take into account their extreme lack of understanding of the rest of the world. Hey, it goes with the territory.

The Bushies will have us there FOREVER. After the 112.5 Billion Barrels of oil have been drained, they'll still have us there to guarantee Israel. It will not end. This is permanent. Anyone who thinks otherwise should do some reading and look at a globe.
