60. I'm not so sure about the assumptions concerning centrism.

It seems to me that more Americans respond to public bravery and clear statements, clear thinking -- it's less about politics than person. Yeah, Bill ran a centrist campaign, but everyone knew he was both a flaming lefty and a politico/corporate dealmaker at the same time. His ultra-socialist aspirations were tempered by realpolitik, which is why he was so successful. He made more gains for liberalism than any president in history, but was vilified by both left and right.
He was all right with me, until he threw the bucket of water on the election fraud issue, which to me seems rather scientific fact. Perhaps he has just been absorbed by The Body. I don't know.
Hillary stood with Barbara Boxer during the certification fiasco (read Munich), and although she runs a centrist face, we all know what she stands for -- everything that is right and good for America. I think she would be a fine candidate, and a better president than Bill in every way, because of her experience during his tenure, and what I believe to be her better character.
I wish Barbara Boxer would run. I like Wesley Clark a lot. I'll happily vote for Hillary. I do not believe I could excoriate any Democratic candidate, mostly because the lines are so clearly drawn now -- Gangsters versus Disorganized, Squabbling, Befuddled, Well-Intended General-Issue Americans. I suppose I choose not to add to the Squabbling. Whatever works in this Undeclared Civil War to drive them back into their holes, or to get them to rethink their absolutism, or even to restore the Rule of Law (gasp!) someday -- that will I support. It's common history for lefty/socialists to tear each other apart, while the lockstep of the nutcake fascist throwbacks carries them to many short-term victories. I don't want to go there.
Let's be civil amongst ouselves. Save the viciousness for the coming conflicts with Gangster Nation.
