or British - would y'all have your panties in such a twist? Or the Chinese, the Japanese, the Nigerians? The Sudanese, or the Egyptians?

EVERY nation spies on every other nation. The US is probably the single worst spy on the planet. We have assets in space, in planes, on electronic eavesdropping equipment, on the ground (not enough, unfortunately), and so forth and so on, including, increasingly, on our own citizens.

This is considered part of NATIONAL SECURITY.

And overseas - we spy on enemies, we spy on allies, we spy on, as I say, EVERYBODY, friend and foe alike. For example, the "Liberty", mentioned above, was a spy ship. It was blown away - ACCIDENTALLY - during a war. And, does anybody remember the "Pueblo" incident? That ship got trapped off the coast of Korea. Or the Gary Powers incident? A U-2 over Russia. We found out about the Cuban missiles via SPYING.

EVERYBODY SPIES. So, why the hysterics?
