1. Just a ramification of Bush's unilateralism.
The chickens seem to be coming home to roost for George Bush. All his talk of pre-emptive use of the military, his obvious disdain for diplomacy (2 words-John Bolton), and his self-serving treatment of of non-members of the Iraq Coalition seem to have done the trick. The LBN on the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline is also indicative of direction things are heading; look out for your own interests.
