67. I agree with you, and then some
I agree with what you said about St. Helens. I was thinking the same thing, but then read the post about different plates. Well, something just didn't sit well with that, and here is what I have found so far from http://www.platetectonics.com/book/page_5.asp :

"There are 3 primary types of Tectonic Plate boundaries: Divergent boundaries; Covergent boundaries; and Transform boundaries. As the giant plates move, diverging or converging along their borders, tremendous energies are unleashed resulting in tremors that transform Earths surface. While all the plates appear to be moving at different relative speeds and independently of each other, the whole jigsaw puzzle of plates is interconnected. No single plate can move without affecting others, and the activity of one can influence another thousands of miles away."

Now, if you think that's strange, how about this: When the December quake happened, Mercury was just coming out of retrograde, there was a full moon and it was the Solstice. This time, Mercury is in retrograde, there is a full moon and it is the Equinox.
