Immigration involves a very complex set of policy considerations- and it's an area that's notorious for producing unintended consequences and ironies- as with Operation Gatekeeper in the early 90's.

Moreover, my suspicion is that the problems in your neighborhood stem from poverty- the indiginous kind- and not from undocumented workers and their families.

The solution on both fronts is education, family planning and the creation of sustainable industry and communities- on both sides of the border.

Unfortunately, those concepts are anathema to Republicans- and all too many Democrats.
