11. Yes, this is new.

We have been concerned that new members have not been properly welcomed, because nobody recognizes that they are new. It used to be that when you posted on DU, and people saw your low post count, they would give you a warm welcome. But without the post counts showing, people did not know that people were new and have not been welcoming them.
