7. OMG, tubas!

Years ago, when I was an undergrad, the music school had its practice rooms on the same floor as the computer lab I usually worked in. There was always something surreal about debugging code at 1 am while someone was practicing the tuba. I went to a recital once, where all of the works were solo/small ensemble pieces for the tuba, written by student composers at the behest of some tuba major who needed rep for his degree recital. It was actually very good if a bit odd.
