The institutions that currently exist have been deliberately sabotaged so any meaningful change is impossible through "lawful" channels. Suffrage by the streets is the only option open to us. The elites will respond and will respond unmercifully. The other routes to the street include barter, community gardens, developing community support groups, and self-employment offering meaningful products and services to the local community. These also will be challenged by the elites. Mother nature herself will take a significant role in shaping the possibility of empowerment for the people as opposed to just the elites or their minions.
