This is the most ludicrous thread I've seen in a while.

Obama is totally in the drivers seat here. Why would he make some panicked, desperate move to replace a very good VP who will mop Ryan up in the debates? What the fuck kind of "counterpunch" would that be? Romney just chose the exact VP candidate Obama needed to paint Romney with the Ryan budget. That's the only counterpunch he needs.

People that you think are "too old" to be President bring the benefit of enormous wisdom gained through experience. My biggest concern about Obama from day 1 was his youth and lack of experience. This has borne out in a number of ways, but I also believe (or at least hope) he has learned in the past 3+ years and that his 2nd term will be far different from his first.

People are only as old as their health. You can be quite elderly and in excellent health.
