3. I've never been a fan of bilingual education. Teaching people to speak English off the bat is better

It always felt like precious years were wasted by having these side by side things going on. My immigrant relatives who came here from Europe in the 20s, learned English in school without it. I think that a one year immersion, the way they do for other languages for the English speaking kids in magnet and charter schools, would work.
