It's how Romney has run his whole life - waving a big fat wad of cash and promising people things. It works as CEO of a venture capital company; those who 'like' him are there because they stand to benefit financially. They probably can't stand him but it doesn't matter if they rake in the dough.

Romney has promised his fellow billionaires that if he's elected, he'll make sure they expand their wealth enormously. The stakes are extremely high, and I think they miscalculated how much Mitt's personality would come into play.

I can only hope the American public won't be bought, even though we've been breastfed on comsumerism.
