84. But Jerry Brown was way ahead all the way

Right now the polls are claiming that it is close, and this shows how sick America is. I think this is because there are a lot of essentially mindless Republican voters who refuse to acknowledge that the GOP is DEAD. Today's neo-GOP is NOT anything like the party they THINK they are voting for, but they are NOT thinking about it. They just vote for any candidate with an "R" after the name.

Mostly I'm thinking about 2000. When you compared Dubya and Al Gore, they were clearly VASTLY different in every dimension, but the election was still SOMEHOW close enough for them to steal it. At the time, I just thought Dubya was a harmless fool, but now I think that you could have shown Dubya's voters his 22%-on-exit approval rating, and they STILL would have voted for him.

It's interesting that the only time Romney actually won an election, he was running against a woman. Maybe that leads to some kind of "war on woman" ad?

However, I still think the best hope is if President Obama turns his back on Romney and starts attacking rightwing luantics like Allan West and that governmor in Maine. Force Rmoney to pour his money into black holes and force Rmoney to link himself to defending indefensible morons with indefensibly idiotic positions.
