Big corporations have nearly killed off Main Street capitalism -- the kind of economy in which you personally know and trust the person who sells you the shoes, the erasers, the paper, your kid's notebook, and your lunch.

And Bain Capital is one of the companies that has hastened the demise of really small businesses. A lot of big box stores did their parts too.
