It doesn't mean squat now, does it? RFK has been dead how many years now? Why should his writing speeches for RFK mean anything in the 21st Century? Are you suggesting that he can't adjust his views and start pushing the same bullshit right-wing narratives we're used to from the media?

I'll give you another example: Chris Matthews. He was a speechwriter (happy?) for Carter and while he's been fairly decent the last six or so years, for a period, specifically during the 2000 election and the point around the Iraq War, he was quick to peddle right-wing BS with no trouble.

It happens. Just because someone worked with RFK or claimed to be a Democrat a generation ago doesn't mean squat today.
